Paneuropa Launches New Service Route

Paneuropa Launches First Company Train Service Between Bremen and Milan
Bakum, November 2025 – Paneuropa Transport GmbH, a specialist in sustainable intermodal transport across Europe, is expanding its international network with a strategically significant new route: for the first time, Paneuropa is operating its own company train between Bremen and Piacenza.
Developed in cooperation with an experienced partner, this exclusive rail service has been designed as a high-performance and environmentally friendly logistics solution. The combined expertise and coordinated operational control ensure maximum reliability and efficiency along the entire transport chain.
With the new company train, Paneuropa is introducing a service model that goes far beyond existing public rail offerings: the train is reserved exclusively for Paneuropa customers, providing a high degree of planning reliability and operational flexibility. Regular and predictable departures in both directions ensure that even time-critical or schedule-sensitive supply chains can be managed with confidence. Direct control over capacity enables Paneuropa to remain independent of fluctuations in public rail availability – a significant advantage for companies that rely on guaranteed transit times and dependable connections.
“Through this new service, we can actively counter potential capacity shortages in the European rail freight market,” says Ralph Reincken, Head of Intermodal. “Especially in times of volatile demand or limited resources, this gives us even greater flexibility to react to changing conditions and offer our customers consistently stable transport chains.”
Another key advantage: the terminal in Piacenza is certified for handling classified dangerous goods – an important factor for companies whose cargo is subject to specific legal requirements. This significantly broadens the scope of the new service, particularly for companies in the chemical sector or the field of alternative energy carriers. Thanks to the specialized terminal infrastructure, the route is also an attractive solution for emerging future markets.
In addition, the new connection links two of Europe’s most economically significant regions: Bremen, a major logistics hub with seaport access and strong export activity, and Piacenza, a strategically located site in northern Italy.
Its proximity to the metropolitan regions of Milan and Turin provides optimal logistical conditions for efficiently serving these two industrial core areas. The region is considered the economic heart of northern Italy, with strong sectors in mechanical engineering, automotive, fashion, trade, as well as the food and food-processing industry.
With this new service, Paneuropa strengthens the flow of goods between two highly developed economic regions and sets new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and network integration in freight transport between Germany and Italy.
“With the new company train on the Bremen–Piacenza route, we are taking the next step in our intermodal strategy. For the first time, we are managing this connection entirely ourselves – enabling us to offer our customers guaranteed capacity, maximum predictability, and environmental responsibility in a truly unique combination,” says Nils Buchmann, Managing Director of Paneuropa Transport GmbH.
The new service is available for booking immediately. Further information, tailored advice, and booking options are available through the Paneuropa sales team at www.paneuropa.com.
